Model Train Show at Thanksgiving Point

What a great way to spend a Saturday.  Michael was in heaven with so many fun trains to look at.

This Lego train set-up was amazing!  By far our favorite.  There was so much to look at.  They even had an "I spy" sheet of hidden items to find.

They even built Thanksgiving Point in Legos

Michael also loved being able to control a few of the model trains

It's a Girl!!!

All I wanted for my birthday was an early ultrasound to find out about this little miracle baby, so my Mom took us to Fetal Studio at South Towne.  It was so fun to see her and to know that so far she looks healthy as can be.  Best birthday present ever!!!

Front Runner/Train Museum- January 2012

Fun day riding Front Runner up to the Ogden train museum with Grandma and cousins

Zions

After Christmas we headed down to St George for New Years.
While there my parents, Elggrens, and ourselves took a fun day trip over to Zions.  It was beautiful, if not a little cold, but fun to be there since I hadn't been since high school.
 Me and Nance

Apparently the dear are very used to having humans around.

Christmas 2011

Second attempt at trying to get a Miles grandkids photo

 Nativity with Miles'

Nativity with Millers- once again Michael refused to participate in either

Awesome crane- Michael loves cranes now that his Daddy works with them.  He was pretty sad when he learned that Daddy doesn't actually drive the cranes, but counts their monies.
 Cars 2 race set

 Bumblebee transformer
When we play transformers, Michael is always Optimus Prime, Dad is Bumblebee, and Mom is Jack???
I don't know where he got Jack.

Dad's fun new remote control helicopter

 My gingerbread house this year.

Craft idea that I got from Pintrest.
I found the glass bowl at the DI for $2.
I love holiday decor, especially Christmas, and especially when it's cheap :)
some of my favorite Christmas decor- I love the snowman plates, and the corresponding mugs are perfect for hot chocolate, or if you're me, hot strawberry milk.

Michael loves our advent calendar (my Mom made them for each of us kids when we got married).
He had a hard time understanding that we only get to put on one ornament a day at first, but soon caught on and it was a favorite morning ritual of ours.

Homemade thin mints and peppermint white chocolate oreos.
I also made Nana's carmels and new peppermint and cinnamon carmels.
